Illuminate Inclusivity—Spread Light this Pride
Each week, we will be celebrating one candle from the Pride Collection with special interviews, photoshoots and videos. Read our chats with Pride luminaries such as NAOMI SMALLS and RICHIE SHAZAM. There's also a genderful yoga class with Queer Tings, plus much more.
A LETTER FROM THE FOUNDERS—WHY PRIDE IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT THIS YEAR
In 2016, co-founders and real life partners MATTHEW HERMAN and DAVID KIEN began by making things they would want to use on a daily basis—products that were fluid and essential. Hear about the brand's purpose and why they feel this PRIDE is more important than ever.
As the luminary for the Damasque candle, actor and singer ALEX NEWELL represents the values of self-love, our take on the color red in the PRIDE flag. Beyond gender inclusion and body positivity, ALEX shares that self-love is a touchable dream, within all our grasps.
Meet CARL OSTBERG, the photographer and floral artist behind the Boy Smells Pride campaign. We sat down with him to discuss what Pride means to him, his inspirations, and how working with flowers helps him embrace his true nature.
BEAMING WITH FASHION
NAOMI SMALLS is a tall drink of water. At six-feet five-inches, this drag superstar cuts quite the silhouette. But, this queen is more than just turning looks. We sit down to chat about PRIDE, style and what growing up in a blended family has taught them.
OH WHAT A GENDERFUL WORLD
Photographer, model and activist RICHIE SHAZAM sits down to discuss the Prunus candle, genderfullness and personal style. Read what drew them to partner with Boy Smells and how this year's Pride is different from any other.
QUEER TINGS X BOY SMELLS
We teamed up with our friends at Sky Ting to create a unique flow celebrating the full spectrum of gender identity. Beyond the explicit roles, titles, identities we play out in the world, how do we use our yoga practice to move away from singular definitions of ourselves and expand our understanding of our implicit nature? We are more than just masculine or feminine, solar or lunar, our past or our future, we have a center that is a combination of both and greater than its individual parts. Let's embrace our genderful journey through our yoga practice.
R&B artist and LGBTQIA+ community member RILEYY LANEZ is unabashed—"I speak to my audience on loving and accepting themselves; to stand proud of who they are, whether it be who they love or the color of their skin."
